Handkerchiefs

Comments Off on Handkerchiefs

A recent newspaper article mentioned–What happened to the old handkerckhiefs worn by most men quite a while ago.

I recall that 50 or more years ago men always hand a handkerchief sticking out of their back pocket or when dressed up always a fancy handkerchief Evedecorated the left top side of a fancy suit.

Even when I was in the Army during World War.we soldiers were given a brown handkerchief to keep in one of their pockets.

After the completion of World War II some men discovered Kleenex tissues which seemed easier to handle.

Most Drug store and Variety shops always started to display their handkerchiefs-this item became very popular and then one day they vanished replaced by pocket size kleenex tissues or medium size boxes of kleenex gradually appeared for sale in many small and large retail stores.

Also I just remembered–Why did most men throw away their fancy dress hats?

I guess THINGS CHANGE !!!!

A GOOD PHARMACY CALLED A GOOD DRUG STORE

Comments Off on A GOOD PHARMACY CALLED A GOOD DRUG STORE

A GOOD PHARMACY ALSO CALLED A GOOD DRUG STORE’S MAIN PRODUCT IS PROVIDING CAREFULLIY FILLED PRESCRIPIONS ORDERED BY DOCTORS WHOSE PATIENTS BRING THEIR PRESCRIPTIONS TO THE PHARMACY.

THE AMERICAN ASSOCIATION OF PHARMACY COLLEGES RECOMMENDS THAT CONSUMERS CHOOSE A PHARMACIST AT WHICH THEY CAN HAVE A CONSULTING RELATIONSHIP WITH THE PHARMACIST.

SOME CUSTOMERS NEED DRUGS DELIVERED TO THEIR HOME. DIFFERENT PHARMACIES MAY CHARGE DIFFERENT PRICES.FOR THE SAME DRUG SO SHOPPING FOR LOWER PRICES MAY IDENTIFY A PHARMACY OFFERING . IN ADDITION TO FULFILLI;NG PRESCRIPTIONS A PHARMACY MIGHT OFFER PREVENTIVE HEALTHCARE SERVICES LIKE VACCINATIONS. UP TO DATE TECHNOLOGY AT A PHARMACY CAN ASSIST A PATIENT WITH PRESCRIPTION REMINDERS AND ALERTS ABOUT POTENTIAL NEGATIVE DRUG INTERACTIONS THEREBY REDUCING MEDICAL ERRORS.

Remembering a unexpected tooth brush sale in a drug store.

Comments Off on Remembering a unexpected tooth brush sale in a drug store.

I once spoke to an elder pharmacist who remembered a customer in his drug store requesting where she could purchase a tooth brush.

The pharmacist related the following memory—One afternoon the pharmacist remembered that while he was filling a prescription-a large tough looking individual pointed a gun at him and shouted-HAND ME ALL YOUR NARCOTICS OR I’LL SHOOT YOU–!!!

THE PHARMACIST OPENED HIS NARCOTIC DRAWER, WITHDREW ALL HIS NARCOTICS AND HANDED THEM TO THE TOUGH LOOKING INDIVIDUAL.THE ROBBER GRABBED THE NARCOTICS PUT THEM IN A BAG AND ORDERED THE PHARMACIST TO WALK TO THE FRONT OF HIS PRESCRIPTION DEPARTMENT AND LAY DOWN ON HIS STOMACH.

THE PHARMACIST OBEYED THE COMMAND! OPENED THE COMMAND.

THE PHARMACIST WAS AFRAID AND DID NOT MOVE HIS BODY-SUDDENLY HE HEARD A WOMAN’S VOICE-“SIR I NEED TO BUY A TOOTHBRUSH” THE PHARMACIST TURNED HIS HEAD-OBSERVED HIS CUSTOMER-AND KINDLY SAID-JUST WAIT AND I WILL SHOW YOU OUR TOOTH BRUSH DEPARTMENT.
